The North Ballarat Rebels have made three changes to the side for their first home game of the 2016 TAC Cup season this weekend against the Bendigo Pioneers.
Captain Jarrod Berry (Horsham Saints) and stylish midfielder Hugh McCluggage (South Warrnambool) return after being rested last week to manage their heavy recent workload, which included representing the AIS/AFL Academy, and skillful midfielder/forward Jacob Wheelahan (Bacchus Marsh) also returns after concussion to the team that defeated Calder Cannons by 59 points last week.
A clean bill of health from last week's game means that three unlucky players will return to their local clubs to continue to press for selection, with Max Scales (East Point), Zac Urquhart (North Warrnambool) and Kyle O'Connor (Horsham Saints) the unlucky trio.
North Ballarat City's Jordan Johnston has retained his place as 23rd man after an impressive debut last week, in which he kicked two goals in the pivotal third quarter.
As well as being the first game for the season at the new-look Eureka Stadium, Sunday is also the Rebels RMHC Charity Match, raising much-needed funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Selected team is as follows...
