TEAM SELECTION | Round 4 v Calder Cannons

4/21/2016

Ararat's Riley Taylor and North Ballarat junior Jordan Johnston will make their TAC Cup debuts this weekend as part of five changes to the North Ballarat Rebels side for their Round 4 ANZAC Round match against the Calder Cannons.

With TAC Cup teams now reduced back to the normal 23 players, Johnston will debut as the Rebels 23rd man, and Taylor forces his way into the team after impressive form at senior level for Ararat in the Wimmera Football League.

Joining them in the side will be Lake Wendouree's Todd Lawrence, returning from the ankle injury that sidelined him for last Sunday's game against the Murray Bushrangers plus two familiar faces making their 2016 debuts after injury-interrupted pre-seasons, North Warrnambool's Zac Urquhart and Trentham's Callan Wellings.

AFL Academy representatives Jarrod Berry and Hugh McCluggage will be rested for Saturday's crucial clash with the winless Cannons after a busy schedule of Rebels, representative and school footy in recent weeks.  Keenan Waterbury will link up with the Northern Territory's Under 18 side as they prepare for the Division 2 National Championships, Todd Clode and Taylem Wason will miss through injury, whilst Tanna Blackney-Noter has been omitted.

The selected side is listed below...
