The Rebels and Pioneers will kick off the TAC CUP Triple Header this Saturday at Mars Stadium, and will be followed by four metropolitan teams who will make the trip down the highway to play on these fantastic facilities at Mars Stadium, Ballarat. The matches taking place for the day are as follows;
10.30am Bendigo Pioneers vs GWV Rebels
1.00pm Eastern Ranges vs Oakleigh Chargers
3.30pm Northern Knights vs Sandringham Dragons
A fiery dispute last week between the GWV Rebels and the Calder Cannons unfortunately saw the Rebels go down by 21 points in a game which was neck and neck until the final 15 minutes.
As the 2017 season comes to an end, the Rebels and Pioneers will both go into this weekend’s game knowing it’s the last of their season, and this will hopefully provide a spark to ignite a tough contest between the two rivals.
This weekend’s Rebels line up sees the return of Harrison Hobbs (Terang/Mortlake), Lochie Dawson (Hamilton) and Luke Bull (South Gambier). All of the above boys have been in form at local football level and we are looking forward to their return in the TAC CUP.
