The North Ballarat Rebels head to Ikon Park this Saturday at 2pm to battle the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup’s Preliminary Final with the winner taking a place in the Grand Final next Sunday at Etihad Stadium.
The Rebels are refreshed and ready to go after taking advantage of a well-earned week off due to their stirring victory over the Geelong Falcons in the 1st Qualifying Final. The team have trained at a high level this week and the players and coaching staff are very enthusiastic and prepared for the tight contest which awaits them.
The Chargers are also hitting form after winning their first two finals against high quality teams. Beating the Gippsland Power by 78 points in the elimination final and the Murray Bushrangers by a goal in last week’s semi-final.
Last time both teams met was in the last round of the home and away season where it was a tight contest all game until the Rebels were able to kick away in the last quarter winning by 34 points.
The Rebels have done everything to prepare for this clash and they will go into the game knowing that all players will need to be at their best over the entire game to defeat the strong Chargers outfit.
