The Rebels have presented Ronald McDonald House with a $3,500 cheque after their successful Charity Match on Sunday. TAC Cup Round 13 verses the Geelong Falcons saw the Rebels transform their match into the official Ronald McDonald House Charity Match to help raise funds for the sick children and their families at Ronald McDonald House.
The day was greatly supported by the Rebels community and partners with various fundraising initiatives throughout the day. TAC kindly donated their services with all proceeds from their coffees donated directly to the fundraising totals.
The Rebels also wore Ronald McDonald socks, which are red and white hooped socks to create awareness of the charity which was greatly received by the players on the day.

“It was a great feeling visiting the house to see exactly where the funds go and how important it is for the families in need.” Phil said.
“We were also happy to see our young Rebels Rookie of the Day from Sunday’s Match Seth Sleep join us in presenting the cheque and seeing him smile again”
Executive Officer Peter Sprott was very thankful of the donation.
“We really appreciate what the rebels have done, they’re having such a great year on the field, but to get behind us off the field as well is just fantastic.” Peter said.
“It costs $130 to put one family up for one night, and we don’t want to charge them that, that’s the whole idea behind this…” Peter continued
The Rebels would like to thank the Western Victorian Region for their great support of the charity day along with all their great partners who donated so much on the day.
