The Rebels will hold their first home game at Eureka Stadium for the season this Saturday at 1pm when they take on the Northern Knights.
The Rebels are coming off a promising 28 point victory on the road against what were then undefeated Oakleigh Chargers.
The Rebels were able to fight out the game after an impressive 30 point lead at quarter time.
The Northern Knights are coming off a 21 point loss to the Geelong Falcons and will be keen for a win to get them back on the winners list while the Rebels will be eager to get another win to push for top spot on the ladder.
The Rebels will be seeing three quality players back into the team for the game. Jacob Hopper, Joel Cowan and Hasker Dawborn all had a rest last week with niggling injuries and will come into this week’s line-up.
South Warrnambool’s Hugh McCluggage who will play his first game as a Rebel under the 23rd player rule. Hugh has been in great form for South Warrnambool seniors and now get his chance at the TAC CUP.

Rebels & Knights join forces to Tackle Road Safety with Drive to Game ActivityAs part of our partnership with the TAC the Rebels will be participating in a Driving Education Activity this Saturday. All players that are on their Learners or P Plates are encouraged to drive to the game to experience more hours behind the wheel driving in various conditions. The Rebels run a strong education program for their players regarding Road Safety and have already this year have undergone a terrific session with Leading Teams about making correct decisions whilst on the road. |
