The Rebels will take on the highly talented QLD State side at Eureka Stadium this Saturday as a curtain raiser to the North Ballarat Roosters V Frankston game. The first bounce will get underway at 11:00 am.

The Rebels will come out of the blocks firing looking to get back on the winners list after suffering a 40 point loss to the Geelong Falcons last round, their first loss in 11 games. The Rebels started off the game well in the first quarter however the Rebels went away from the brand of footy they have played over the previous months as the Falcons blew the game apart after quarter time in what was a wet and cold day at Eureka Stadium.

Queensland have only played four games so far in the TAC Cup and have won two of them, however they are recently coming off some promising success in the Division 2 National Championships after going through undefeated and claiming the Division 2 title.

This is a massive clash for the Rebels heading into the most important part of the season. A win here would hopefully kick start some good form finishing off the season leading into finals.

The Rebels will be without Joe Symons who will make his Roosters debut as the 23rd player against Frankston in the VFL after some strong consistent form in the Rebels.

Ryan Thompson will make his debut for the Rebels this round playing as the 23rd player after showing some strong form for home club Ballarat.
