This Saturday the Rebels take on the 6th placed Oakleigh Chargers at Eureka Stadium with the game set to get underway at 11am as a curtain raiser to the North Ballarat Roosters clash against Coburg in the VFL.

The Rebels are coming off a 26 point win against the Calder Cannons last Saturday in what was a tight contest all game. The game was anyone’s for the taking however the Rebels prevailed kicking away in the last quarter.

Oakleigh Chargers will be entering the game after a 30 point loss to the Geelong Falcons. It was only one point in it at half time until the Falcons come out and kicked 8 goals in the third quarter which made it had for the Chargers to fight back.

With one week away until the finals series this game is set to be an important one for the Rebels. This game will be the difference between holding top spot on the ladder or dropping down to second. The Rebels will be looking to hit the finals with strong form.

Jacob Brown (Hepburn Football Club) will make his debut for the Rebels this week as the 23rd Player. Jacob has been part of the under 17 Rebels Rookie Squad this year and has been training consistently with the Rebels throughout the year. Jacob took out both the League Goal kicking and the League Best and Fairest for the Central Highlands Football League Under 18 Competition this year.
