Kicking goals this weekend will make a huge difference to local cancer research. As part of the Cancer Research Awareness Month, North Ballarat Under 18 Rebels and McDonald Family Restaurants Western Region have signed up to be part of the Research Round.
This weekend, the North Ballarat Rebels will clash in the TAC Cup competition against Queensland at Eureka Stadium. This game will have an extra thrill as proud Research Round sponsors; McDonalds Ballarat will be donating $10 per goal or point, to the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute. All money raised during the game will be supporting vital research projects being conducted at the Institute.
Fiona Elsey Institute Fundraising and Communications Officer, Talitha Prendergast, said “It is wonderful to have the Under 18 Rebels and McDonald Western Region supporting internationally recognised research conducted right here in Ballarat. McDonalds Family Restaurants Western Region is known for their community support, and once again they are happy to support our Cancer Research Institute and we truly appreciate their support. The games will be great to watch and see our local Rebel football stars supporting cancer research by doing something they love.”
If you can’t get to Eureka Stadium this weekend, McDonalds Western Region and the Rebels will be supporting” Kicking Goals for Research” during Round 14 of the TAC Cup, when the Rebels take on the Oakleigh Chargers.
Get to Eureka Stadium this Saturday to cheer when the boys kick goals for research.
