The Rebels head to Warrawee Park, Oakleigh this Saturday at 1.30pm to try conquer ladder leaders the Oakleigh Chargers.
The Rebels showcased there talent in their previous game against the Calder Cannons on ANZAC DAY finishing the game with an impressive 10 goal win. The Rebels played a team first brand of football which played a massive part in the win against the Cannons.
The Chargers are coming off a strong performance against the Murray Bushrangers after winning by 12 points in what was a tight contest all game. This keeps the Chargers winning streak alive after winning all 4 of their matches so far in 2015.
This week will see for the first time in the TAC Cup’s 24 year old history a full female Umpire panel will umpire the Rebels V Chargers game.
This is a great initiative supported by the AFL and AFL Victoria to encourage females into umpiring.
The Rebels welcome back Jarrod Berry into the team who has just come back from the AFL Academy trip in New Zealand, and also Lloyd Meek, Matthew Johnston, and Sam McClure who return from injury. We look forward to seeing these boys add some strength into the line-up this weekend.
The Rebels will rest key play maker, Jacob Hopper this week.
