David has been involved with the Rebels Talented Player Pathway Program since 2007 and has been an outstanding member of the Rebels program since that time.
He has had varied roles at the Rebels since arriving from SMW Rovers which have assisted him develop into the high quality coach he is today.
These roles have included:

Recently David was awarded the TAC Cup Coach of the Year for the 2nd year in a row. David is now the 2nd Rebels Head Coach of the past 3 appointments that have moved into AFL Coaching ranks, the last prior to David being Chris Maple at the Western Bulldogs in 2008.
Ironically both of them coached locally at senior level within the Mininera & DFL before continuing their AFL Victoria Coaching Pathway through AFL Victoria’s Talented Player Pathway Program with the Rebels.
We wish David and his wonderful family all the best for this exciting opportunity and we look forward to continuing our relationship whilst he helps develop the future Drew Petrie’s at the North Melbourne Football Club.
The Rebels will now seek and appoint the best coach available to continue to help develop Western Victoria’s most talented junior footballers.
