The Rebels are very proud and excited to announce that David Loader has been approached and accepted a Development Coach position with the highly respected North Melbourne Football for the next 2 years.
David has been involved with the Rebels Talented Player Pathway Program since 2007 and has been an outstanding member of the Rebels program since that time.
He has had varied roles at the Rebels since arriving from SMW Rovers which have assisted him develop into the high quality coach he is today.
These roles have included:
2007- Rebels TAC CUP Runner and Development Coach.
2008- Rebels TAC CUP Back
2009- Rebels TAC CUP Midfield Coach, Rebels U16 Head Coach
2010- Rebels TAC CUP Senior Assistant, Midfield Coach, U16 Head Coach
2011-2015- Rebels TAC CUP Head Coach
Recently David was awarded the TAC Cup Coach of the Year for the 2nd year in a row. David is now the 2nd Rebels Head Coach of the past 3 appointments that have moved into AFL Coaching ranks, the last prior to David being Chris Maple at the Western Bulldogs in 2008.
Ironically both of them coached locally at senior level within the Mininera & DFL before continuing their AFL Victoria Coaching Pathway through AFL Victoria’s Talented Player Pathway Program with the Rebels.
We wish David and his wonderful family all the best for this exciting opportunity and we look forward to continuing our relationship whilst he helps develop the future Drew Petrie’s at the North Melbourne Football Club.
