This weekend, the TAC Cup and TAC Cup Girls competitions celebrate “Drive To The Game” round, encouraging parents and supervising drivers to chat to children learning to drive about road safety and responsibility issues.
The Greater Western Victoria Rebels encourage all learner drivers in our 2017 TAC Cup and TAC Cup Girls playing squads to drive to the Queen Elizabeth Oval in Bendigo for our games this weekend – the TAC Cup Girls at 3:10pm Friday and the TAC Cup Boys at 3:00pm Saturday – and show their log books for a chance to go into the draw to win free driving lessons courtesy of AFL Victoria and the Transport Accident Commission.
For parents, there will be a free BBQ, free coffee and newspapers, plus a chance to learn some key tips and pointers to guide their children on the journey to achieving their license.
Whilst young drivers are amongst the safest drivers on the road, they’re also 30 times more likely to crash in the first six months of being on the road, which is why the GWV Rebels are so passionate about driver education and making sure that young drivers learn the right habits and the right way to navigate Victoria’s roads safely.
More information about Drive To The Game round will be available in the TAC Cup marquee at the Queen Elizabeth Oval on both Friday and Saturday.
