After last week's announcement of five Rebels players being invited to the AFL's National Draft Combine, the North Ballarat Rebels are pleased to announce that four Rebels have also been invited to the AFL's State Draft Combine on Thursday 9th October.
Jarrod Korewha (Koroit), Lloyd Meek (SMW Rovers), Jamaine Jones (Portland) and Callan Wellings (Trentham) have all been selected to attend the State Combine session, having each been nominated by two or more AFL clubs to attend and get the chance to perform in front of recruiters from all 18 AFL clubs.
Both Korewha and Meek represented Vic Country earlier this year and undoubtedly would have caught the eyes of recruiters there, whilst Wellings has overcome a pre-season injury to be one of the Rebels best players since his return, as has Jones.
A former Rebel, Rowan Marshall, was also selected for the Draft Combine on the back of an impressive VFL season with the North Ballarat Roosters.
The North Ballarat Rebels congratulate all of their current and former players in getting their chance to strut their stuff in front of AFL clubs ahead of the AFL National Draft being held at Sydney's Hordern Pavillion on Friday 25th November.
