The North Ballarat Rebels are excited to announce that five current Rebels players have been invited to the NAB AFL National Draft Combine after the conclusion of the 2016 TAC Cup season.
Jarrod Berry (Horsham Saints), Hugh McCluggage (South Warrnambool), Willem Drew (Koroit), Tom Williamson (Ararat) and Cedric Cox (Camperdown) are amongst the eighty footballers across the country to have been invited to participate in what is the main showcase of potential AFL footballers at the end of the season, where players go through a series of tests under the watchful eye of AFL recruiters and coaches and are interviewed by AFL clubs.
In order to be one of the 80 footballers nation-wide to receive a Draft Combine invitation, players must have received interest from at least five AFL clubs.
Details about players invited to the State Combine session will be released in the coming weeks, and we're hopeful that more Rebels players will receive invitations to it.
Congratulations to Jarrod, Hugh, Willem, Tom and Cedric on this fantastic achievement.
