TEAM SELECTION | ROUND 5 v EASTERN RANGES

4/27/2017

This Saturday at 12:00pm, the GWV Rebels will travel to Box Hill City Oval to take on the Eastern Ranges in what will be a fiercely fought contest.

Last week the Rebels were able to bounce back from their slow start to the season with an impressive win over the Calder Cannons in the annual ANZAC Cup. In their first win for the season the Rebels were able to bring home the Cup for the third consecutive year.

The match was played evenly in most areas of the game, except the Cannons kicking efficiency at goal hurt their chance of victory. The Rebels were able to stream home as 80 point victors after a nine goal final quarter.

This win will hopefully give the Rebels a much needed boost in confidence for this weeks big game against the Ranges.

The Eastern Ranges are coming off three consecutive losses after going down to the Geelong Falcons last week by 52 points. This sets the stage for a big match against the Rebels, as both teams will be hungry to chase down their second win of the 2017 TAC Cup season.

After a solid performance against the Cannons the Rebels team will go in unchanged ahead of this weekend’s clash.
